Broken River and Sevens Creeks’ level have continued to rise causing a number of road closures in the Kialla Lakes area last night.
The SES have issued evacuation warnings in the Kialla Lakes and Taylors Estate area and held a community meeting at Mooroopna this morning.
Mooroopna expected to get its peek at 11. 1 metres tonight or later in Tuesday morning.
Council’s Municipal Emergency Coordination Centre is providing more supports to the SES Incident Control centre.
Stranbags are available from Council’s Doyles Road depot and the Shepparton Saleyards and Animal Shelter has the capacity to provide stock and pets if necessary.
Council’s Flood Call centre also operates seven days a week on 1800 727 774 and maps showing flood impact on properties are on displays at Council offices in Welsford Street, Shepparton on http://www.greatershepparton.com.au/floods.
Gulburn River will reach its peak of 11.1 metres, estimating hundreds of homes flooded and isolated.
